Chiropractic and Cognition - How Your Stand Affects The Brain!

This past weekend I was at a seminar with an old professor Dr. Dan Murphy DC.

He is one of those special minds that is not only photographic, but dedicated to helping others through the most modern and current health trends and research.

Each week he peruses through many medical journals around the world to find information supporting real chiropractic and how to nourish a self-healing system which we are all designed with.

There were so many amazing lessons learned (and new books I must read) but the biggest takeaway is something we talk about in the office and the crux of real chiropractic.

You see, Chiropractic is not about twisting and cracking or even pain - it is about having the nervous system, housed in the spine, functioning at optimal so that you can thrive and heal the way you were intended.

Further, we talk about posture and why the position of your head is so important for global distortion patterns and root causes.

But, it is also being observed in other ways as seen in this study.

This study published in May of this year shows that with more forward head posture (anteriorization), there is an association with cognitive decline.

In other words, the more your head is forward, the less your nervous system functions well and even further, deteriorates!

This is HUGE!

Since 1895, we have known that Chiropractic is about the nervous system, and now it is being proven even further.

So when you are continuing your care plan, or it's been a while since you have been checked for subluxation, remember that it is not only about feeling and moving well, but honoring the central nervous system and deterring neurologic deficit.

And with that you can live the full life that you deserve!
