Is 'Crack' Good For You?

When most people think of Chiropractic, the image of a neck twisting and popping comes to mind.

But what is actually happening there and is it good for you?

If you are scared of the 'crack' can you still benefit from Chiropractic care?

Is there another way to treat my pain and natural health without the 'crack'?

The answer is surprising!

When you hear a bone make that 'cracking' sound, we refer to that in medicine as a cavitation.

The truth is nothing is cracking at all!

Where two bones meet is called an articulation or joint. In between those bones is a joint space that has some fluid and air bubbles. When the joint moves and those air bubbles release, it can make a noise called a cavitation or popping or cracking sound.

That's it! It usually takes about 20 minutes for those bubbles to reform.

If done specifically by a trained chiropractor, the joint will then move better and release some endorphins which helps with pain as well.

But not all chiropractors move the joint with such force to create a sound at all!

At Get Real Chiropractic we offer a technique that is gentle with no loud sounds to come with it. But the benefits are the same! The joints move better, the body comes to balance, and overall function is increased.

So if the 'cracking' is something you were curious about or worse yet fearful of, inquire with us to experience the benefits of chiropractic

without all the noise!
